Works on canvas with mixed media… big bold squares with limited palette . I’ve used oil paint with different mediums and knives. After a period of bright colour, I welcome a more restricted palette

I’m feeling more motivated to paint now that the air has cleared ! This is a summer no one will forget! Anyway, let’s be optimistic and learn !! Here are a few works I’ve revisited and lightened up.

Blue watery themes for these 2 abstract friends especially with Art Gallery on Palm Beach in mind. Earthy tones in sienna are a nice contrast for blues ….mainly indanthrene blue by Liquitex,

An interesting conversation today between me and these paintings! It was quite a dark dull day outside but a day well spent in the studio.

Monday studio time spent on these 2 large guys. More paint, varied brushstrokes, soft pastel drawing all make for interesting work.

Painting was completed as the beautiful full moon was rising on 17/7 ….50 years on. This is a reworked canvas with more life and light I think.
