Beginning of a new series inspired by the beauty of ageing.

A new series of 3 paintings was inspired by weeks of incessant rain and high humidity! The limited colour and transparent, light application of paint give a feeling of foggy, wet but warm conditions. The rain was falling the entire period of their creation .

Second in the series of square works on board, framed

This first of a series has now found her voice! Often I find and lose colours, marks and passages in a work until we are both satisfied . 1.03 cm square mixed media on board , framed .

A large framed canvas 105sq with limited colour , predominantly pinks mauves and green with interesting marks and gestural moves. Finger painting always makes for a contrast with brush strokes.

A bold, rich work with saturated reds and interesting passages of vibration. Currently hanging at Art Gallery on Darling, Balmain during my Solo exhibition 23-28/11/2021

Large framed boards with interesting colour evolution. Naming paintings is always a challenge but petrichor came to mind whilst watching approaching rain on a warm morning. I’m happy with the resolution of these 2 works.

A couple of these works are recent and then started talking to others in my studio! Often happens . I’ve enjoyed bright saturated colour lately but it’s always calming to get back to neutrals……well, neutral to me.

A large happy work finds a new home. It is off to a collector’s beautiful home in Sydney .
