This painting has many layers and complexities . I am enjoying some new shapes and marks.

I like tonal studies with shapes of contrasts. 

A series of grey, white, cream with collage and red accents.

A friend named them! I prefer not to associate with historical battles but sometimes painting feels like it!

Enclosed shapes are generally a no-no but I quite like this one.

Square canvas seem to contain my thoughts and shapes somewhat. 

 This is good and bad but sometimes one needs a few limits……or not!

I love creating quiet spaces then drawing an accent or a surprise ! 

More black, white, greys with graduations + a touch of red. Paper used is textured and heavy giving more interest  and opportunities to resist and absorb. 

Returning to my love of limited colour and focus on space and shapes.
