A large paper 73×77 (handmade paper from the Kangaroo Valley) with collage, acrylic and a bit of madness !! I do like this one.

Still life… as close as I get to flowers in a painting!
Somehow these shapes appeared today and I went with it… Usually I avoid subjects or they don’t occur to me but maybe the suggestion of a leaf and use of green was too much to resist. A painting is a conversation between brush and surface so maybe the subject was botanical today.

Second new work for February
Large canvas 92×121

New works for February
Some of these are reworked pieces from the past. I often find if I tire of a painting and it no longer holds my attention, something needs to change! Either the painting is not resolved or I have changed my gestural marks. I am always seeking simplicity which is difficult to achieve with vibration and content.

Small collage works on paper
I’m enjoying spending days inside during a very hot Sydney summer. Experimentation with collage is both relaxing and rewarding.

40x30cm little works
I’m thrilled to be joining Art Gallery on Darling….a collaborative gallery of 12 artists this year in Balmain, Sydney.

It will be exciting to be a part of such a vibrant group with group and solo shows. Not only will I be exhibiting large works but also these little guys.
