2 x 50×65 cm works on paper reworked over previous paintings . These times of Covid are bringing out strange responses in us all but today Australia’s news was heartening..maybe the sun coming through in these 2 is prophetic!

Painting at home during Covid19. I’m painting on paper in a very loose and gestural manner these days. Limited palette is always my preference and today I used cobalt, sepia, raw umber black and white….a pleasing combination I think. 2 brown soft pastels were a good accent. Dimensions 60x80cm each

Works on paper unframed 50x65cm each. I consider these 3 works to be successful as a triptych as, although they were not painted with a grouping in mind, they are having an interesting conversation! The colours are complex and the markmaking is loose and interesting…..in my opinion.

I’ve enjoyed painting on paper and revisiting older work during lockdown! Maybe I’ll look back and remember this time fondly !!

A beautiful combination of colour, texture and shapes going here. My large colorful canvas talking to a stunning river stone sculpture by Leone Harris and my works on paper teaming up with Shellie Christian’s ceramics with succulents….terrific textures .

Sometimes we all need to break out….especially artists….even more so, abstractionists. The simpler the work, the harder it is to achieve. Masters like Franz Klein and Rothko understood this!!

A warm watery feel on large canvas. This may be an accurate depiction of a Sydney February day! ….humid and relaxed.

Large canvas with warm tones and bold mark making. Interesting narrative developed here…

Group exhibition at Art Gallery on Darling, Balmain, Sydney. I have four large paintings hanging amongst great work of fellow gallery stakeholders. 20/2-01/3/20.
