This piece is more obviously a landscape than my usual work. Sometimes shapes and colours speak loudly and countryside appears ! Our drought ravaged country is suffering and much is being said about our poor farmers doing it tough. Maybe that’s where this work came from but all my work is created inside a studio without visual references.

2 nice reworked pieces from a residential course earlier this year. Often I produce work quickly during the week and get marks down quickly then revisit and ponder! These 2 worked out well I think.

Square 70cm canvas completed during a windy coastal weekend. The colours and brushstrokes give it away, I think.

Large canvas work which is a bit more landscapey than I usually do. I’ve spent a weekend alone painting by the beach and bush so I guess it must filter through to my canvas!
