New hang at Potts Point Galleries, Sydney
Large work “Darkness Descending ” 940x1240cm and Sounds of Silence diptych, 790cm square each. I’m hanging alongside fellow members from Art Gallery on Darling, Balmain and Art Gallery on Palm Beach…Vanessa Ashcroft, Marie Schlederer and Shellie Christian.
It’s wonderful being involved in 3 great spaces with inspirational artists.

Floodplain
82cm square canvas with powdered pigment and Marin medium. This work loosely depicts the horrendous summer landscape of Australia….droughts and flooding rains!
2 large works on paper, framed
During 2018 I attended a fabulous residential course in France and worked on large paper pieces in a very free and fluid style. I revisited these pieces and we recommenced the “conversation”. I’m very pleased to say that most of these pieces are proudly hanging in new homes. Thibault de Reimpre was the masterclass leader….one of France’s lyrical abstractionists. Great times!

2 big bold beautiful works
Sultry summer days in Sydney!!
Rain after fire and destruction. What a summer to remember! These paintings have had a few lives but they have evolved into complex works.

Maybe It’s The Heat
Large framed canvas punching above it’s weight! Sometimes a big bold work needs to be heard and seen!
MellowYellow
A big bold canvas in oils! Yellow always lifts the mood and we need that right now in Australia!
2Large Mixed Media squares
Works on canvas with mixed media… big bold squares with limited palette . I’ve used oil paint with different mediums and knives. After a period of bright colour, I welcome a more restricted palette

Monday back in the studio
I’m feeling more motivated to paint now that the air has cleared ! This is a summer no one will forget! Anyway, let’s be optimistic and learn !! Here are a few works I’ve revisited and lightened up.
