I read recently that it’s sometimes disconcerting for the viewer to stand in front of a work done by an abstract expressionist! I hope so….although I would love viewers to look, enjoy and involve themselves in my work. As there is no object in my work, some people find it hard to reconcile themselves to it. This canvas
is a case in point….please just lose yourself for a minute!
Let’s Dance
This is a revisited canvas which I loved reworking whilst listening to David Bowie. I hope he’d enjoy it ! What a diverse talent he had.
Little squares 45cm
Working in smaller formats is fun sometimes! Often the simplicity achieved is difficult to transpose to a large work.

Small paper squares 42cm
These are the result of larger unresolved papers divided into manageable parts and then reworked. I will frame and regroup them. Sometimes I aspire to magnifying smaller works into large pieces for their simplicity. It’s very difficult to resolve a large work with bold simple spaces whilst still maintaining some “petite vibration”, as one of my mentors says!
