Strong little guys (77cm square) with bold marks and a story to tell!

This piece is a softer work but still with quite a lot of vibration, I think.

A shape of transparent red oxide gave this piece a lift and the yellow flash gave a light in the dark! Interesting color combo! Acrylic and soft pastel .

These 3 works are calm and soft compared to other paintings I have completed recently but still contain vibration and activity….

These two works done a while back have resurfaced and undergone some finessing before being framed. I’m preparing for a solo show and one never knows which pieces to take or leave behind…..The fact that these two paintings have reared their heads again means something.

2 sombre works on canvas which have evolved dramatically after a tough week. Recently we lost a wonderful fellow artist at Willoughby Arts Workshop , Karine Vereecken. She was such a beautiful artist with a kind heart. Also a beloved family member passed away. All these emotions can’t help but influence my painting, whether I am conscious of them or not. ….

Interesting mark making and areas of softness . I can feel soft green grass under my feet here !

This piece tells it’s own story…bit mysterious and intriguing. Sometimes when a painting takes on a life of it’s own, I stand back and wonder how we both got there! Quite a narrative here.
